Scope: Green field project for a new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) compound including connections to an adjacent substation site.
Alpha were employed to carry out the new RC works which comprised 16no new Battery Container Foundations, 9no 3.6MVA Transformer Foundations, other associated equipment foundations (12no) as well as UKPN substation foundations and Control room foundations.
Compound fencing which included 250m of Proktor mesh fencing double compound gates, some minor drainage and ducting as well as CCTV / lighting columns and stone subbase and gravel compound chippings as a return visit.
Unusual aspects: Cut and fill works had been done prior to us starting on site, other works were co-ordinated with other contractors and the client to ensure areas were completed for equipment installation and cable connections. Our return visit was for final chipping s and fence modifications.
