Services provided: Civil engineering construction
Scope: New SSE battery storage compound (BESS) including constructing a new Grid transformer bund.
- 26no Gridsolve Foundations.
- 9no 7MVA Transformer Bunds.
- Associated ducting including 28no catchpits and over 5000m of ducting, SW drainage and fencing works to both the new compound and adjacent SSE connection compound.
- SSE compound foundations and associated ducting and cable trough connections
Unusual aspects: Working in an old quarry to a tight programme with others completion ground stabilisation works ahead of us which included testing of the formation as it was prepared for the RC foundation works.
Adjacent SSE compound with others working on the equipment and connection to the new BESS compound.
