Alpha Construction Renews Place on National Grid Electricity Distribution Civils Framework
We are pleased to announce that we have renewed our place on the National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) Civils Framework.
The new £600m framework will support the continued development and resilience of NGED’s electricity distribution network, with civil engineering and building works delivered across new and existing substations.
Alpha has secured places across six regional lots, extending our coverage across Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester; Birmingham and Tipton; Telford and Stoke; Derby, Chesterfield, Mansfield and Nottingham; Coventry, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Leicester and Kettering; and South and North Lincolnshire.
Our teams have extensive experience delivering civil engineering works within live high-voltage environments, where careful planning, coordination and safe working around existing infrastructure are essential. This includes the delivery of substation buildings, foundations, drainage, access infrastructure, ducting and other associated civils works.
The renewed framework is therefore a strong fit with our existing capabilities and builds on our longstanding relationship with National Grid.
It also comes alongside our separate appointment to National Grid Electricity Transmission’s Major Civils Framework earlier this year, further strengthening Alpha’s position within the UK energy infrastructure sector.
We look forward to continuing to work with National Grid Electricity Distribution and supporting the safe and reliable development of its network over the coming years.
