  1. Designing and constructing foundations for high-load shredder equipment, requiring robust structural solutions to accommodate significant operational forces.
  2. Delivering approximately 20,000m² of heavy-duty concrete slab, requiring careful planning and sequencing to ensure quality, durability and programme efficiency.
  3. Integrating environmental protection systems, including Class 1 oil interceptors, to ensure compliance with Environment Agency regulations.
  4. Coordinating site infrastructure to support operational logistics, including vehicle movements, weighbridge access and plant servicing.

Scope of Works:

  • Construction of substantial reinforced concrete foundations and plinths, designed to support a high-capacity scrap metal shredder and associated plant.
  • Construction of a two-storey steel-framed control building, providing operational control and monitoring facilities.
  • Provision of infrastructure for overhead gantry crane operations, supporting maintenance and plant servicing.
  • Upgrade of the existing service yard with approximately 20,000m² of heavy-duty concrete slab, designed to withstand high-load vehicle movements and operational demands.
  • Installation of site-wide drainage systems, including two Class 1 oil interceptors to ensure compliance with Environment Agency requirements.
  • Construction of two new weighbridges and a site office, improving vehicle management and operational efficiency.
