Scope of Works:
- Installation of 210m of steel sheet piling (9m lengths) with reinforced capping beam, forming a permanent retaining structure to stabilise the watercourse.
- Excavation and widening of the watercourse, improving hydraulic capacity and reducing flood risk.
- Construction of a balancing pond, enhancing flood attenuation and managing peak flows.
- Riverbank reprofiling and stabilisation, using rip-rap stone and erosion control matting to prevent scour and long-term degradation.
- Installation of new drainage systems, including ACO channels and connections to existing infrastructure.
- Reconstruction of the adjacent internal roadway, including planing, resurfacing and reinstatement works.
- Implementation of silt and pollution control measures, ensuring protection of water quality during construction.
