Project complexities, simplified by Alpha:
- Managing large-volume concrete pours (up to 270m³ per pour), requiring detailed planning, coordination and execution to ensure structural integrity and programme compliance.
- Working under strict planning constraints, including fixed access routes and deadlines for completion of concrete pours, requiring disciplined logistics and programme control.
- Achieving high-precision setting out of reinforcement, ducting and holding down bolts, ensuring alignment with turbine structures and avoiding costly rework.
- Coordinating logistics and material delivery, ensuring timely supply of concrete and reinforcement to meet tight programme windows and maintain pour continuity.
Scope of Works:
- Construction of the wind farm control building and compound, including reinforced concrete foundations, rendered blockwork structure, pitched fibre cement roofing, high-security doors and internal finishes.
- Delivery of external infrastructure, including drainage systems, underground cess tank, rainwater harvesting system, access roads, hardstanding and surface finishes.
- Construction of 4 No. turbine foundations, each comprising a 16m diameter reinforced concrete base slab and 5m diameter top slab.
- Installation of significant holding down bolt assemblies, requiring precise positioning to meet tight tolerance requirements for turbine installation.
- Execution of large-scale reinforced concrete works, with approximately 800 tonnes of concrete and 50 tonnes of reinforcement per foundation.
- Installation of perimeter security fencing, completing the operational compound.
